Love is Kind

We looked at love once more and saw how love is kind. Kindness is in a sense love in action. In Psalm 145 we see how the Psalmist is praising God for his gracious mercies, or to put it another way - the kindnesses of God, or the lovingkindness of God. As love is of God, and God is kind. We are to be kind. We saw from the parable of the Good Samaritan how he demonstrated kindness. His kindness ought to have been unnecessary - others should have been stirred to help. His kindness was unexpected - this was not his "kind of person", yet he shows kindness. His kindness was unending. He commits himself to doing what was required to help this man. He placed no cap or limit on his kindness. May we love our neighbour in the same way.
