Predestined Betrayal

In that most famous event, the Last Supper, Jesus drops a bombshell: one of his friends is going to betray him. And this act of treachery will end in Jesus's death. As if the prospect of torture and death wasn't enough for Jesus to cope with, he's stabbed in the back by someone close to him.

We see here an important twin truth. God ordained the whole thing, yet Judas is held responsible. He did it of his own free will and with his whole heart.
