Our Great High Priest of Love

One of the richest ways to grasp the significance of Christ's present ministry to us is to see Him as our great high priest. As a fellow human being who knows our case, who perfectly understands our struggles and weakness, He now lives forever to intercede before the Father on our behalf. All other Old Testament priests who lived and died served a copy and a shadow of the good things that were coming – not the reality itself!

Now that this stainless, blameless, permanent high priest has come and shed His innocent blood for us we can enjoy the great benefits of a new and living way into the reality of God's holy presence. Here is an answer to all our anxious thoughts – His endless life and ministry will never fail to save to the uttermost all who draw near to God through Him!
