Sonship Shared

Of all the gospel writers, John is the most explicit in declaring Jesus as the pre-existent eternal Son of God. He is ‘The one and only Son’ (John 3:16) who became flesh and was “Immanuel’—God with us. By believing in the Son sent by the Father we also may become children of God by his grace. His gospel is an invitation to participate in the life that exists between the Father and the Son through the Spirit.
