I've Always Wanted To Say Goodbye In Advance

I've always wanted to say goodbye
To my friends and relatives before I die
If I have offended you in anyway
I apologise and please forgive me may any resentments go away

We all are going to die it's just a matter of time
When these physical bodies wear out you see
And our soul departs our body
And we will find ourselves in eternity

I also want to proclaim the Sovereign grace of God
Shown to all His people while on this earth they trod
His love is unsurpassing and never failing to
He laid down His life freely what more love could Jesus do?

I hope I see you someday in God's kingdom made without hands
We'll never have to worry there about the shifting sands
Or the temporary nature of while we lived down here
For His people will be in heaven with their Savior dear

He is our only hope my friend may you clearly see
That God chose for Himself a people from eternity
To be recipients of His love by shedding His blood for their sins
So they would live with Him in Heaven and share His joy with them

So goodbye in advance that is what I have to say
And I hope that I see you in heaven some awesome day
And if you're one of God's elect it will happen for you to
We will be in the New Jerusalem together with our LORD
Where He made all things NEW!
