THE LUSTER OF GRACE (2)

I. GRACE'S REDEEMING POWER VS. 1-3
A. It quickens one from being a ‘spiritually dead sinner'

B. It frees one from being a ‘spiritually captive sinner'

C. It releases one from being a ‘spiritually cursed sinner'

II. THE DIVINE ORIGIN OF THIS GRACE: VS. 4-5

A. The hope for fallen and rebellious man is in God's immeasurable love: vs. 4

CLOSING THOUGHTS:
A. As Paul preached the Gospel of salvation to the Ephesians, so am I to you! (1:13)

  1. Face the reality of God's declaration about where and who you are!
    a. not only outside of God in Christ!
    b. but even more against God in Christ!

  2. How long will you neglect this Gospel of your salvation?

B. God through Paul came to Ephesus to seek such who were lost (2:1)

  1. So He is coming among us today: where are you?
  2. Never doubt His sincerity to you even though you feel as a chief of sinner!

C. God used Paul to encourage and strengthen His believing people in Ephesus

  1. God so seeks to encourage and strengthen His people today
    a. by tracing back the present to the past: 2:4-5 & 1:3-8
    b. by tracing ahead the present to the future: 2:5-7 & 1:9-14

  2. God uses for both the means of the Lord's Supper
