Christ and Creation

135

As God's people we have much for which to be thankful. Of course, we first give thanks that God has given us such a clear record of His truth and His work of creation in His Word. If we had no other books or resources, we would still have all we need in God's Word. But second, we can be thankful for the Lord's work in raising up many defenders of His Word of truth and for the many excellent books dealing with the subject of creation that have been written in the last generation. The battle of course is far from over. Far too many Christians are very confused and sadly the situation is not getting better in many respects. And yet we do consider how God in His Providence has still left at least a remnant of those who believe in the truth of God's Word and who are willing to endure the hatred that comes in standing for truth. As Jesus said, narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.
I would like to continue the theme that was started this morning in Sunday School by looking at the subject of Christ and Creation. What did Jesus specifically say about creation? What else in the NT specifically is said about Jesus and Creation? What did Jesus do that relates to the subject of creation? When you ever find yourself doubting or questioning, the sure remedy is to look afresh at the truth of God's Word and the clear testimony of Jesus Christ.
