Lk 14 15-24 The Rebuke & The Invitation
47 ( 25 | 22 )
After being rebuked concerning their pride, one of the Pharisees makes a toast to the blessing of being present at the kingdom feast.
Jesus immediately launches into another parable about a great banquet being held, and all the invited guests refusing to come. The meaning is clear...the Jews (along with all who refuse to believe God and accept His offer of salvation on His terms) will be judged.
This is a wonderful reminder of the grace that God pours out upon Israel and the gentile world...we hear the invitation. The question is, will we accept the invitation to salvation?
