God's Kingdom: Within and Without

It is true that our Lord, Jesus Christ is even now the Sovereign King over every square
inch of both heaven and earth. Yet it is also true that when we look out at the world
around us today we see a kingdom that is in abject rebellion against its true King. This
is exactly why our Lord teaches His disciples to pray "Thy kingdom come." In the
second petition of the Lord's Prayer we ask for:

1. God's sovereignty to be made more evident.

2. God's church to grow stronger and larger.

3. God's enemies to be destroyed.
