The King and His Adversary, Part 3

How enticing would it be to be offered control of all the world, for all time? Would the prospect of being able to "straighten out everything" be overwhelming? What if that offer also included the possibility of curing all diseases, exterminating all crime, eradicating all poverty and injustice, and even extending human life indefinitely? In this last temptation, we will see that this is what Christ is offered, yet He rejects it out of hand. Worshipping God is more important than all of these. God's kingdom is better than the best of man's kingdoms.
