Walking on the Sea - Exposing the Disciples' Faith

John recounted this episode as his transition between Jesus' feeding of the multitude and His encounter with the people the next day. John's account of the sea episode is brief, reflecting his contextual emphasis on the subsequent discourse by which Jesus illumined the significance of the sign of multiplying the loaves and fish. Nevertheless, the intervening event on the Sea of Galilee, like everything Jesus said and did, was intentional and purposeful and therefore important to His self-witness and ministration.
