The Foolishness of the World's Wisdom

God confounds the wisdom of the world by the preaching of the cross, which to those perishing is absurd, but to those being saved it is the power of God. The antithesis is always between God's wisdom and man's wisdom. Paul did not shrink back from preaching the gospel to the Stoic and Epicurean philosophers in Athens. Truth is whatever God says is truth in His word. Jesus is Lord despite whatever men say.
