Peace in the Land

God continues to show His faithfulness to Jacob by fulfilling the promise of peace when He instructed Jacob to return to the land promised his fathers. Because of Jacob's wisdom in approaching his brother in the proper decorum and respect their reunion is an event of joy not anger. God was his defense but the plan was Jacob's initiative. Jacob later buys land, builds an alter and declares Yahweh his God.
