Unlikely Recruits

In the period after Jesus' baptism, he developed a small following. After John the Baptist was arrested, Jesus returned to his homeland of Galillee. He approached some of those who had been following him and called them, this time to ministry on a full time basis. It is notable that their call was to be witnesses, and regardless of our circumstances, we have the same call. Our circumstances and abilities differ, but if Jesus used common working men to be his very disciples, he can use anyone. We have a message, and it is our duty to share it.
