In the conclusion of this exposition on biblical unity, we see that ultimately it is Christ who gives grace to and gifts those in the body. This is for the purpose of mutual edification, for all who have been gifted participate in ministry. It is not just for a select group of people. Christ, within this mutual work, has set aside some, not to be above anyone else, but to proclaim and instruct from the Word of God, for there are powerful winds and waves of false doctrine intentionally planned out to disrupt the unity of the church and cause its health to decline.
