In the Midst of Turmoil

This wonderful prophecy gives believers hope even in the midst of great upheavals, reminding them that the Sovereign Lord is working all the details according to His glorious plan. We are told that the Lord does judge wickedness in history but also that in the midst of this the just must live by faith in God's faithfulness knowing that what's happening is unto the goal of achieving God's end, namely, that the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord. Assurance of this rests upon the fact that the Lord sits in His holy Temple and therefore all the earth is silenced before Him.
