Satan is Bound & Confined

The clearest understanding of the revelation given by God to the apostle John comes by reading and studying it literally, taking the events as unfolding sequentially.

In this section, for the first time the bible reveals that the eternal kingdom will begin with a segment that is one thousand years in duration. Jesus Christ will return to earth before this one thousand year period begins. During this initial phase of the eternal kingdom, Satan is bound and confined in the abyss. The abyss, also called the bottomless pit in the book of Revelation, has been the holding place for many demons, apparently since their rebellion. After this one thousand year period Satan will be released.

Believers who were martyred during the Tribulation will be resurrected with their bodies glorified, and will join believers with non-glorified bodies who survived the Tribulation, in entering the millennial kingdom. This is identified as the first resurrection. Blessing is pronounced on those who are part of this first resurrection.
