Prepare For When You Hear the Trumpet Sound

Jeremiah would give a message saying prepare for when you hear the trumpet sound seek shelter in your defensed cities. Judah must needs seek her safty in Jerusalem, for the Lion was coming down from the north. Babylon was a force to be dealt with and if Judah was to survive she must put on the sackcloth of fasting and prayer for her sins. Jeremiah cried unto the nation but little was done to change her ways therefore was impending judgment in view. We should be reminded that as much as Judah did not fully and completely repent of her sins any nation so warned and refusing the grace and mercies of God could very well find it self under God judgment. the theme of the Day of the Lord is not one reserved for Israel alone, but at the end of the church age Judgment will come.
