The Word of God

Aim: To heed the word of God as we embrace Christ, the divine Logos.

Exegesis: God's word comes to us in written form, communicating His love for us (vv. 1-2) and His law to us (vv. 3-5). God's word comes to us in spoken form, through His ordained ministers (vv. 6-8) and for His ordained purposes (v. 9). God's word comes to us in incarnate form, bringing great salvation (v. 10) and blessings (v. 11) to us.

Key verse: v. 4 ''And [God] wrote on the tablets according to the first writing, the Ten Commandments, which the LORD had spoken to you in the mountain from the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly; and the LORD gave them to me.''
