What Matters Most

The Bible tells us God is love, so one of the most important lessons he wants us to learn while on earth is – how to love. Love is actually the foundation of every command that he has given us.

Learning to love runs counter to our self-centered nature - maybe that is why we are given a lifetime to learn it. God wants us to love everyone, but he is particularly concerned that we learn to love Believers.

God insists that we love other believers because he wants his followers to be known for their love – it is a powerful witness to the world.

In heaven it will be easy to love God's family forever, and this life is preparation for the next. Learning to love cannot be done in isolation – we have to be around imperfect even irritating people. Through worshipping, serving and fellowshipping in the local church God polishes us and fits us for glory.
