Booth: The Sure Destruction of the Ungodly
Series Rare Recordings from the Past
Far too often we forget the wonderful ways that God worked in the mighty revivals of old. We also forget the testimony of the men that God used. Mighty men. Men who prayed and preached under the power of the Holy Ghost. Through electronic means, some of these voices have been preserved so we can remember voices from the past.
General William Booth was the founder of the Salvation Army. Begun in 1878 as a street-preaching ministry, he later changed the emphasis to charity. William Booth was a gospel preacher, and in this pre-1912 recording he illustrates the sure destruction of the ungodly with a story about a ship along the stormy coast.
