"Power, Preaching & Persecution"

Ch 4 brought into focus great power & great grace; in Ch 5 it's great fear. &
Understandably so; where there is purity, there is power. God was establishing the
foundation of the church, & the apostles bearing witness to the resurrection of J.C. w/great
power. But when impurity sought to permeate, God immediately & definitively dealt w/it
& there was no ambiguity, no uncertainty about the message. We might say that God was
"deadly serious" about establishing the church on a pure foundation...
