The Three 'R's of Redemption

Why are ‘ruin’, ‘rescue’ and ‘restoration’ necessary for true redemption in Christ? How is David here a picture of Christ, not losing even one of his own? Why did his people want to stone him? How is the fall of Ziklag a depiction of the fall of Adam? Why must ruin be the first step in redemption? How are the children of Christ preserved in Him? Why did they want to stone David? How is this a picture of the LORD’s promise that His children shall never perish?
