How God Works in the Life of a Christian

I. The Way God Normally Works 1:24-26

A.  We see certain truths that helped guide his thinking.

    1.  Ultimately God will be glorified  v.  20b

        
    2.  All things work together for good to those who love God.

    3.  We must do what is right – and trust God for the results
            
            
B.  Christian reasoning led Paul to conclude he would live, be delivered, and would minister to the Philippians again  v. 25-26

    

APPLICATIONS:

1.  Do not try to live life in the miraculous – live in the light of the wisdom of God as revealed in His Word.

2.  God judges according to faithfulness, not apparent success.

    
3.  Paul's Attitude never changed, even though his circumstances did.  2 Timothy 4:6-8
