How the Kingdom Works.

When the context is considered, we see that this miracle is intentionally embedded w/in Jesus' private teaching of His disciples, namely how the Kingdom of God functions in light of a crucified & resurrected Messiah.

The first answer we see is that it works powerfully in those who are helpless & cry out to God in prayer.

This is the main theme, as the Greek words "dunamai" ("to be able")& "dunamos" ("power") dominate this section, along w/ the words "faith" and "unbelief".

Believing prayer provides the only source of power needed to advance the glorious kingdom that Jesus inaugurated for us in the new covenant.

Oh for grace to be humble, and ever-reliant upon our Sovereign Lord, who does all things well.

A very practical sermon, especially for Christians who don't understand the purpose & power of prayer.
