141 ( 85 | 56 )

Scripture: Acts 10:9-33 Text: Acts 10:17-33
Sermon: OUR ENTRANCE INTO REDEMPTIVE HISTORY: PART 2
Points: I. Peter's Summons to Caesarea
II. Peter's Arrival in Caesarea
III. Peter's Interpretation of the Vision

Acts 10 is perhaps one of the most important chapters for most believers today. Why would I say that? Well, principally because most believers today are not from Jewish lineage, but Gentile.

Gentile converts were not received into the Christian Church until the events of Acts 10 take place. Before this, for Gentiles to become part of God's people they would have had to convert to Judaism and either submitted to the rite of circumcision or just remained a God-fearer.

Well, in Acts 10, the Holy Spirit makes clear that race, being Jewish or Gentile, was no longer the defining difference between the human.

In this first study of Acts 10, we will see that both Cornelius and especially Peter are prepared for this monumental event.

If you've not realized or thought about these things, you're going to enjoy these messages.
