Destined for Affliction

As Paul expresses his over-the-top relief that the Thessalonians still stand firm in the faith despite persecution, we see the emotional side of discipleship. We also see that persecution is the destiny of every believer. This sermon revisits the reality of relational hardship for believers even in nations of relative comfort and scant physical persecution. It also challenges us to enter into the physical hardships of believers in nations that do suffer physical losses for the gospel.
