Salvation's Joys and Trials

Peter explains to us the necessity of trials in our Christian lives. Our faith is like gold that is tested by fire so that it emerges in a purer form. Yet even now we are experiencing the salvation of our souls as the Lord gives us inexpressible joy in him and love for him. By grace we cling to faith in him in the midst of our trials, and thus bring him glory - the most important thing we can do with our lives.
