Respect and Purity

As Paul writes to Timothy, giving clear and practical advice on how to be a faithful pastor of a real, local church, he gives particular exhortations on how he is to interact righteously with men and women, both young and old. The blessed thing about Scripture is its sufficiency to address all matters pertaining to life and godliness as to how we are conduct ourselves within and outside of the household of faith. The Church is to be a body of men, women and children who see themselves as members of one family, bound together by the Spirit and strengthened and lead by the Word unto the edification of every member.
