The Means of Grace

This Sunday morning we commit ourselves for a short time to the exhortations given to Timothy and to the church, by Paul to devote themselves to the gifts that God has given to the Church in order to reveal and truly give all the blessings of Christ's redeeming work upon the Cross. I am speaking of the means by which God rules in His Church to call men to minister and the means of ministry, namely, His Word. All within the Church are to devote, submit and be ruled by the Word. We are to be a people called by, filled with and moved through the Word and Spirit.
