The Dreadful Reality

These verses give us a sobering description of judgement in hell, a reality that we so often try to downplay or cover up. As we see the terror of eternal judgement in the presence of God and His angels, we are brought to worship God for His glorious justice and to marvel at the love of Christ, who suffered all the fullness of hell on the cross on behalf of His people.
