Since, in the body of the book, I did not set out to establish the doctrine of particular redemption, I did not expound those biblical texts which might seem to speak against it – although I did remark on some of them in passing (and, in addition to what I say here, I refer you, reader, to those places). I must, however, comment on Clifford’s chapter: ‘The Verdict of Scripture’.
