Jesus Must Die

Jesus called Lazarus, four days dead in the grave to "come forth!" God commands, His creatures obey. Lazarus came out of the tomb. With this miracle, the religious establishment of first century Israel had finally had enough. Jesus must die. And so He would die, but the results of His death were not what the High Priest and the Sanhedrin expected. In fulfillment of Matthew 1:21, the death of Jesus resulted in the salvation of His people.
