The Body of Christ

The structure of this church will be dictated by the principles we discover in this study.
The church is the body of God’s redeemed people (locally and universally). God’s purposes for the Church are
seen in the five main metaphors: Body, Wife, Family, Temple, and Priesthood.
As His body we are the physical representation of Christ in this world. He accomplishes His work of filling the
world with fullness through us (we are the great expression of the glory, power and presence of God).
This happens when the body builds itself up with the goal of maturity as each part does its work ministering to
one another. (So second hour will be designed for that.)
Unlike the false gods, Jesus relates to us as our Head. He is not only remote and transcendent; He is also nearby
and He has made us as closely related to Him as a body is to its head. Jesus only uses His body for great things.
Trust Him to coordinate His body.
