A Lively Hope

Peter wrote encouraging words to the Saints scattered by persecution. Tempted to give up, Peter pointed their eyes to heaven. Most of us today do not experience the kind of persecution that the early Church faced, but we are tempted to give up. Depression and anxiety are common among God's people. Peter speaks of a lively hope, a hope that cheers the soul and encourages us to continue on in the work of the Lord.
