Freedom From Sin

Christ came to this world to address the effects of sin. In His death, He dealt with the penalty of sin — He died. In His resurrection, He dealt with the power of sin — which is what we are talking about here. In His second coming, He will deal with the presence of sin. Thus we conclude that it is the power of sin that Christ's resurrection addressed!

When Christ rose from the dead, He broke the power that sin held over mankind. He freed His people from its dominion. Such that in Christ, the child of God no longer is a slave to sin and is free to serve God for the first time in his life!
