A Plea to Protect

This message was given by Pastor Jonathan Stobbs as he continued his evening ministry in Paul's Epistle to the Philippians. Why must we protect against anything that challenges the gospel of grace? Pastor Stobbs makes it clear that the threats to the true gospel that were evident in the days of the Philippian church are still present today. In this message he explains how Paul is urging the Philippians to guard themselves against the threats that are encircling them. Paul's statements here echo those given in Galatians, and it is a passionate plea to protect and to uphold what is right and true and honouring to the Saviour. A challenging message that points to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and God's work of grace in salvation. There is no other gospel, no other Saviour, and the challenge is there to cling to it, and guard against anything that may threaten it!
