WISDOM IS PASSED DOWN FROM GENERATION TO GENERATION Part 2
"Let your heart retain my words; keep my commands, and live. Get wisdom! Get understanding!
Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth. Do not forsake her, and she will preserve you;
Love her, and she will keep you.
Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom.
And in all your getting, get understanding.
Exalt her, and she will promote you;
She will bring you honor, when you embrace her.
She will place on your head an ornament of grace;
A crown of glory she will deliver to you."Proverbs 4:4b-9
We return to Proverbs 4. This morning's passage challenges and encourages believers to hold fast to the faith that was once for all delivered to the Saints. In these verses God the Holy Spirit reminds and encourages us to hold fast to Wisdom's ways.
There are many paths that lead to destruction… but only one that leads to Life. By listening to Wisdom we can be sure we're on the right path. If we ignore Her and forget to follow Her ways a world of hurt and disappointment awaits.
