A Mother at the Cross

In the midst of the suffering of the cross, Jesus was still willing to remind us of the importance of family concerns. His mother's suffering also was not something to be ignored. He made sure she was taken care of. This story reminds us of the concern and understanding has for all mothers in their suffering. He displays a pattern of responsibility for parents for future generations. He also shows the weakness of Mary who was one that needed help and a Savior.
