Christians Do Have A Mother But It's Not Mary, It's The 'New Jerusalem'

144

Over in the Roman Catholic Church, you hear a lot of talk, none of it found in the bible, about Mary being the 'mother' of the Christian, an idea that the bible in way will support. But the bible does tells us that born again believers in the body of Christ do have a 'mother' in a manner of speaking, and that is the New Jerusalem found in Revelation 21. What better topic could you want to have a bible study about on Mother's Day than the true 'mother' of the Christian church?

"But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all." Galatians 4:26 (KJB)

"And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband." Revelation 21:21,22 (KJB)

On this episode of Rightly Dividing, we are looking at a variety of scripture that all leads us to the same place, namely New Jerusalem. John 14 show us Jesus telling us about 'many mansion' in which the born again Christian will live for all eternity, Galatians 4 shows us that this place is the 'mother' of all of us who are saved. Revelation 21 shows us exactly what New Jerusalem is, what it looks like, and where it will be for all eternity. Jesus makes everything new – new heaven, new earth, and a new Jerusalem and no, this new Jerusalem does not replace the geographic Jerusalem on Earth, it is in addition to. Join us tonight for this fascinating study on the 'many mansions' found in new Jerusalem!
