We come to the darkest, yet most beautiful moments of the crucifixion in Mark 15:33-37. In this passage the Son of God was forsaken by His Father for a very distinct purpose. The son of God was forsaken, bearing all our sin so that we would not be forsaken or bear the punishment for all our sins.
