Morality and the Church

How is a Church to regard immorality among its members? In 1 Corinthians 5, Paul has to deal with this very difficult subject. He points out that morality matters, and how Church discipline is to be used to try to bring the offender to repentance. As Christians, we are called to be what we are in Christ, to follow him. We do not indeed sit in judgement over those outside, but we must keep the Church from scandal.
