Is the Bible Out of Date on Moral Issues?

The Canadian and American culture have shifted in recent years to a 'populist' morality - we decide what is morally right and wrong by the consensus of the majority, rather than by acknowledging an unconditional morality based on God's law. (Throughout the history of Western Civilization our cultures accepted a higher moral authority.)

Leviticus 18 is a chapter of sexual ethics that our culture would dismiss as outmoded and culturally bound.

Many pastors, churches and denominations have quickly changed their tune on issues of sexual morality. Should all churches follow suit?

We believe that NOTHING has changed in regards to sexual ethics, NOR CAN IT EVER CHANGE.

This message responds to three 'revisionist' claims in regards to the sexual ethics presented in Leviticus 18, arguing (1) that this passage (and all of scripture) is not culturally bound; (2) that the New Testament sets asides some aspects of Leviticus while strengthening other aspects; (3) that God's moral will regarding human sexuality is not limited to the people of God - but extends to claim authority over all the earth.

Missing from this recording is a 5 minute preamble which included the reading of Romans 5:12-21. It is essential to begin this conversation with the promise that there is no sin so great that God's grace cannot atone for it.
