Sending the Right Message

We learn from the Bible that sending is a big theme. Joseph, Moses, Isaiah, John the Baptist and the Lord Jesus were all sent. The one who sends them all is the Lord Himself. He knows who to send, when and to whom. He knows what needs to be said to whom and when. As God has progressively revealed His plans in Scripture, He has been able to plan exactly what needed to be said.

Although the Lord sends angels to help His people, they do not bear His message. That is to be done by fallible men. When He determines to speak to a people He raises up preachers to go to them. They may be weak. They may be sick and die after a short space of time. He sends them to preach a message and every Christian and every local church has this responsibility of making the right message known about the true God. We need to be praying that the Lord would preserve the right message by preserving the Bible in our nation; by protecting the gospel; by protecting Bible Colleges from error; by raising up preachers; and by preparing more people to hear those messages willingly.
