The Proverbs 31 woman is a personification of Wisdom, the subject of the book. She is described 'from A to Z', as each verse begins with a letter of the Hebrew alphabet. The total is a picture of the ideal wife and mother--an ideal that no woman has achieved, but nevertheless one to be pursued.
