The Fall of Babylon

The city of Man and the City of God. Augustine wrote this metaphor drawn from the pages of the Bible to contrast eternal values with evil. In Revelation there is a contrast between two cities: Babylon and New Jerusalem. But there is hope. God's enemies will be punished and God's people will be vindicated in the end.
