New Wine in New Wineskins

The Lord Jesus Christ came in this world to bring life to a dying people. He made everything new. He confronted the Old Covenant (Judaism)because it was obsolete and ageing, soon to disappear (Hebrews. 8:13). It was beyond renewal. Christ brought new Scriptures, a new covenant, new people in a New Testament church who had new access to God, with a new assurance with Him as their Lord. He came as He Himself says, "I have come that they might have life, and have it more abundantly" (John 10:10).
