A. The Religious Leaders

B. The Soldiers

    C. The People

II. The Women at the Empty Tomb -- Luke 24:1-11

It's really quite amazing when you put all 4 gospel accounts together to see how they inter-connect and complement one another – each adding

a little more detail to the account.

III. Peter and John at the Empty Tomb John 20:3-10

v. 5 – John SAW – Blepo – The simple Greek word for “seeing”.

v. 6 – Peter SEES – theoreo – Can mean “to look at and study” .

v. 8 – Then John SAW – eiden – Here – “To see with understanding”.

And he believed in Jesus' resurrection.

IV. Mary Magdalene at the Empty Tomb John 20:11-18

Over the years no woman has suffered more at the hands of commentators, speculators and heretics than Mary Magdalene.

She had the honor of being the first to see the risen Christ.
