Marks Of A Christian, Part I

What difference does your being a child of the Lord make in your life? Have you ever really thought deeply about that question? You’d be surprised (at least, I am) at the number of Christians who have to admit that no, they’ve never really focused on what difference their faith makes in their day-to-day living.

Here is another question to ponder: Can you think of one thing you said or did yesterday that showed someone that you are a child of God in Christ? That you have something that changes men’s hearts and changes the way they live? There’s a question that has been repeated so often it’s become a cliche, but it’s so thought-provoking that even if you’ve heard it a hundred times it still should make you reflect: If you were arrested for being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict you?

In what ways has your walk with the Lord changed you? A lot? A little? Or has it changed you at all? If you think it has changed you, why do you think so? How do you know? Can others see the changes? We’ll call these differences some of the marks of a Christian. This morning we’ll start to examine some of these marks.
