God's Law or Cultural Bankruptcy

This is a 15 minute message delivered at the first meeting of a special organization, 'In the Interest of Justice' formed in Corpus Christi, Texas that seeks to inform citizens of their civic responsibility. This group is the result of the judicial tragedy surrounding the unjust conviction of Hannah Overton in the death of a foster child. Christians in Corpus Christi are determined to see the judicial system in Corpus Christi brought under closer scrutiny and accountability. Every meeting of 'In the Interest of Justice' will feature a main speaker plus someone giving a biblical perspective of the topic. This message demonstrates that all law is undergirded by some moral system and that unless it is God's law, then it will inevitably be man's law that leads eventually to tyranny and injustice. Hannah Overton's ungodly conviction is but symptomatic of a judicial system gone awry.
